DESCRIPTION:Jeudi 25 avril  à 20h30 veillée à l’Ostau Marmandés. \nMonsieur Stéphane Capot\,  Directeur des archives départementales\, vous relatera la fantastique histoire de ce fruit qui a marqué profondément l’histoire et l’économie de notre territoire. C’est tout d’abord une invitation à un voyage à travers le monde car le prunier est un arbre qui est originaire de l’Orient. Présent dans l’Agenais et le Bas-Quercy dès l’Antiquité\, le prunier s’est très bien acclimaté dans notre région. Surtout la variété qui donne le pruneau d’Agen et qui est le fruit d’un mariage réalisé entre des pruniers locaux et une espèce introduite en Agenais au Moyen âge\, au retour des Croisades. Une greffe de génie qui a pris et qui était promise à un bel avenir ! Dès le XVIIe siècle\, le pruneau d’Agen\, avec ses qualités nutritives et sa bonne conservation lors des longs voyages\, acquiert une renommée internationale et s’exporte.  Laissez-vous tenter par l’histoire de l’odyssée du pruneau d’Agen !
